The Moonday Manifestor
Well, I’m delighted to report that I count last week as a total success!
I didn’t get to one of the things I’d intended to see, but I know I’m resisting it, so I guess I’ll have to figure out the why of it so I can move forward.
Before I get into the moon manifesting portion, I wanted to talk a little about why I’m doing this. Why I’m writing this series of posts every Monday (except the one I missed..shh).
This little weekly publication I’m doing is part of my New Years Resolution & Theme Word. This theme word is a fantastic idea I got from my friend Annie. And while I don’t really believe in new years resolutions, there is a goal I wanted to spend time focusing upon in the coming year.
As soon as I read about Her theme word on her blog, I immediately knew what my theme word was. It’s been the theme surrounding my entire life lately. Becoming. What I’m Becoming. Who I’m Becoming. Thing is, I have been, Becoming, for a long time now. It’s just that I can actually identify what I’ve turned into, so now my Becoming is on a much more conscious level.
Which brings me to the resolution part. I’d set a goal on the winter solstice to more consciously walk this path I’ve chosen and allow myself to Become (there’s that word again) the person whom I feel pulled toward being.
This is where The Moonday Manifestor comes in.
This is real for me. What I write. Here in this little publication and in every other that fills my blog. It’s my life and how I feel and what I think and what moves me to write. Right now, the moon moves me.
So as I talk about which house the moon is in and when and what that means to me and how I’m planning my life to take that into consideration, it’s truth. It’s my real life. It’s something that I’m doing to focus myself upon my path and the Becoming of Myself.
It’s a small thing, but it’s an action. It’s SOMEthing. I’m pointing myself in the direction in which I intend to travel. That’s all we really need to do. Know where the end destination is, and then do SOMEthing that points you in that general direction. Then listen to the Universe speak all around you and allow it to move you with the flow.

That beautiful moon entered Sagittarius at the end of last week @ 7:04pm on Saturday and will remain in that house until Tuesday (2-9-10) @ 5:43am when it will enter Capricorn.
My almanac says: Sagittarius encourages flights of imagination and confidence. This moon sign is adventurous, philosophical, and athletic. Favors expansion and growth.
~ Personally ~
Here I am, expanding and growing. Right now as I research my celestial love and plan my life around Her energy, I grow. I’ve been having flights of imagination propped up upon some confidence and it’s been feeling wonderfully.
The business I’d spoken briefly of starting last week didn’t manifest the way I thought it would, but that’s life. Full of surprises. It certainly didn’t fail to manifest, it just wasn’t what I had in mind. But it’s all good because this way is even better. I’m going to continue letting Sagittarius encourage my imagination. Each moment spent imagining my outcome is productive.
And speaking of athletic, I’ve decided to start doing yoga again and had my first stretch of it this morning. Pun intended. I’m feeling like a punny girl today :)

The moon comes into the house of Capricorn on Tuesday morning (2-9-10) @ 5:43am and stays through til Thursday morning (2-11-10) @ 7:39am when it goes void of course until 6:24pm.
My almanac says: Capricorn develops strong structure. Focus on traditions, responsibilities, and obligations. A good time to set boundaries and rules.
~ Personally ~
Tuesday & Wednesday will assuredly hold responsibilities and obligations for me. I must go to our rental house and spend a good portion of time this week cleaning and painting. These 2 days are looking like the days.
Traditions are also important and being that Wednesday is the day Kris and I get together for brunch and coffee, I’ll be sure to be available for her and plan my obligations around our time together. I have my volunteer time with the second graders @ school Wednesday morning anyway so I guess it’ll be an afternoon of obligation preceded by a morning of giving, kindness, great friends, and good coffee. Sounds like a good day to me!
It’s good to know that these are the things that need my focus most and the Universe not only supports me in what I’m doing, but almost seems to be pushing me in the right direction.
Thursday morning (2-11-10) @ 7:39am the moon goes void of course until 6:24pm. That means chaotic energy and I will be found doing not much of anything. I take it as my resting period. I don’t worry about anything or work toward anything. For all intents and purposes, it is my magical resting period. I allow my life to just Be as it is and enjoy it. Purposefully. Maybe I’ll take the dogs on an outing. With the cold weather of late, we’ve not had many outings.
~ Astrologically ~
Thursday evening @ 6:24pm the moon will enter the house of Aquarius where She will remain until Saturday night @ 11:33pm when She will again VC until 7:23am Sunday morning at which time She’ll enter Pisces. Right before She voids Her course Saturday night, we welcome in a New Moon @ 9:51pm.
My almanac says: Aquarius is a rebellious energy. Time to break habits and make abrupt change. Personal freedom and individuality is the focus.
~ Personally ~
Thursday evening through bedtime Saturday night is spent in Aquarius. Habit breaking and abrupt change. Personal freedom and individuality. With that new moon coming in @ 9:51pm, when I wake up Sunday morning, the new cycle will have begun. I LOVE this time of the month.
According to Cafe Astrology *In the sign of Aquarius, friendship, brotherhood, group activities, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, humanitarian efforts, or joining a group will be a strong focus on a personal level. New beginnings*
The “trying something new” and “humanitarian efforts” are the ones jumping out to conk me on the head so they will be my focus from Thursday evening through Saturday. I’ll let you know how that pans out next week!
~ Astrologically ~
Sunday morning @ 7:23am the January New Moon will right Her course and enter the house of Pisces where we will pick Her up again next Moonday.
My almanac says: Pisces has a focus on dreaming, nostalgia, intuition, and psychic impressions. A good time for Spiritual or philanthropic activities.
~ Personally ~
Sundays are wonderful in my opinion. As a child I was taught to “Remember the Sabbath and to keep it holy” and so I do. Sunday in my home is restful. Enjoyed. I garden and plant and meditate. We might work on our remodel, but that’s still holy. To us at least. It’s not about “out there”. It’s about in here. Us, our family, being together and loving each other and reconnecting to ourselves as much as each other.
Dreaming and nostalgia are naturally on my to-do list for Sundays. My husband and I will sit at the table with coffee talking of days past and manifestations to come. THAT is what I will be doing this Sunday.
We’re also going to be officially initiating a “Family Game Night” for Sunday evenings. We play together a lot, but not as regularly as we used to. I intend to remedy that!

Lunar Living ~ New Moon
Who Do You Want to Be?
That’s a question I’ve been asking myself for a few months now. Back in September when I finally embraced the path of a solitary, I began asking myself this question and it’s one of the best manifestation techniques I believe I’ve ever found.
In honor of this first new moon of 2010, I’d like to share this manifestation technique with you so you too may begin to become the person you really want to be. With whatever traits and free of whatever habits. This is your year! Allow yourself to become!
Everyone has a picture of who they WOULD be if given the resources. Or even who they WILL be when they win the lottery and are finally happy (snicker). Sorry, the lotto one always gets me.
Making a clear decision about the person I seek to become has made all the difference in my growth I believe. When I chose my craft name, “Luna”, I also created a BIO of sorts, for her… This witch that I was becoming acquainted with who was bursting right out of me whether I liked it or not. I fabricated her. I made her my ideal.
That’s what I could control. Maybe not the how or the when, but the WHO is all me. I even added in that she lived in clean, organized, and love filled surroundings. The result of that so far has been wonderful!
For the past couple weeks, since New Years Day, my husband and sons have been taking greater care with their dishes and belongings which has been leaving all of my surroundings much much neater and more organized.
Also, the people that I care about in my life have been filled with outpourings of adoration lately. Not putting me on a pedestal or anything ridiculous, but they’ve been very forthcoming with kind and caring words of love and respect. The feelings that you have for them, yourself, and you assume they have for you, but the words that people rarely say…. I’ve been hearing them. It’s been delightful!
You can change your life! You can become whoever you want to become! All you have to do is answer this question. Who do you want to be?
Get a pen and paper or open one of those nifty writing programs that comes on every computer. Write it down. If you could be anyone, any way, who would you be? What would your traits be? What would your life look like?
When I wrote mine, I wrote it in a third person, as though I were describing somebody outside of myself. I’ve added it as a page on my blog and you may read it here. I intend to change the bio as my expectations, passions, and ideas change, but for now, she is who I am/am becoming.
Not a day goes by that I don’t see evidence of everything I wrote becoming my experience. It is blissful.

Lunar Living, Astrology & Magic
I don’t understand astrology much. I believe in it’s power for 1 simple reason. I know beyond a doubt that I am affected by the moon, so why wouldn’t everything else “out there” affect what’s “down here”? I know there’s still much dispute as to whether the moon has an effect on people (full moon lore, legends, and wives tales), but in my own personal experience, and in the end that’s all I’ll ever have, it absolutely does.
I set several “resolutions” for this new year, but over all they can be classified as simply an intention to explore my new Spiritual path. I’ve been constructing my book of light and really allowing the natural witch that was already within me, to come forth and take over my life.
By identifying with the label “witch”, I find I’m letting go of outside thoughts and judgments and allowing myself… giving myself permission even, to become. I’ve been becoming for a while now, but now that I’ve clearly identified it and stepped into it, things are changing… and moving faster. Some people may read that and have no freaking CLUE what I mean by that. For those that got that, it was for you. LOL
Anyway, I’ve been studiously living my life according to the moon cycles for the past year and I find it a rather comfortable rhythm to align with. Very natural. Even my own monthly cycle seems to synch itself up nicely.
In the spirit of taking inspired action, I’ve decided to expand my cosmic awareness to encompass some astrology. I’m not setting out to become a master at it, but in keeping with my “Jane of All Trades, Master of None”, shining reputation, I do endeavor to become adept with it.
So, in honor of my first love, on Moondays I’d like to start trying my hand at an astrology forecast. Not to be confused with a horoscope! It will be a basic introduction (because I’m BEING introduced!) to astrology and astrology in relation to spell casting, intention setting, and manifestation. It will be bits of what the cosmos have to say and snippets of how I personally intend to use the information I’ve gathered to effect change and manifestation in my own life.
Basically, a cosmic road map to what energies are abounding in the week to come and where your (MY!) focus will be most productively spent in relation to manifestation and personal/Spiritual growth, coupled with my own personal ideas and strategies for the coming week because face it, it’s my blog and it’s about ME! LOL
See you Moonday!

The Book of Light
This is what I’ve decided to construct. Not a Book of Shadows. I know that the name of that book is part of the witches tradition, but that is the beauty of being a Solitary and making your own traditions in my humble opinion.
I thought about constructing a Book of Shadows and was giving thought to what I’d want to include and the more I thought about it, the more I thought of things I would include. Then the more things I listed to include, the more the similarity of the nature of those things seemed.
The nature of all of the things I would include in my Book of Shadows are things related to energy and healing and life and creation and joy and love. Those are not things of shadow. Those are things of light.
I also believe that working around some of the seemingly darker aspects of “witchcraft” will help me to reach a broader audience and be more readily accepted if not understood. And it’s not that I’m seeking anyone’s acceptance, but more that I believe that if I can bridge the gap between myself and someone else simply by altering my language, why shouldn’t I?
Besides, I find the idea of a Book of Light so much more appealing.
I know witches are said to/to have kept information regarding their magic in their Book of Shadows, but I see it like this.
My LIFE is my magic! Everything in my life, I have created… manifested. Everything I am interested in and am pursuing is under my spell and part of my magic. And my LIFE and my interests and pursuits center specifically around my home and family and health and Spiritual growth.
Maybe it’s… non-traditional, but I went and got myself a 3 ring binder. If I read something online I want to include in my personal book, I print it, punch it and include it. I’m free to use my trusty highlighter and make notes in every margin to my heart’s content! I even have section separators and folders. It organized so many things for me. I had information floating all over about all kinds of things and now I have a single location for all of it!
This translates over to everyone! You don’t have to be a witch to have your own book. Especially for the homemaker or mother. There’s so much we do and are responsible for. It really is wonderful to have a place to put it and a place to find it later! I even include a journal, calendar and my own personal “Tame the House” cleaning schedule/routine that helps me to conquer the chaos of life with boys!

The Four Planes of Manifestation
There are four planes of consciousness on which a manifestation is built. While it is possible to manifest your desires without working on each individual plane, it does make a massive difference if you take the time to add your intention and creational consciousness to each plane.
These planes are:
- The Mental Plane
- The Spiritual Plane
- The Emotional Plane
- The Physical Plane
Over four weeks starting October 1st, I will focus on one plane of creation each week starting with the Mental Plane and going down the above list in order. There is a lot of information to cover so there will be multiple posts per week. I will archive the posts as a series and they will be available on my homepage for anyone who misses this opportunity.
I’ve been using the techniques I’ll be talking about for years. People always ask me how I always manifest things so quickly but it’s near impossible to sit down and explain in one sitting. There’s just too much wonderful information to absorb.
I’ve thought many times before about sitting down and typing out my manifestation techniques but have never had the drive to do it. Now, as the light of this moon cycle builds, I feel my own personal growth calling to me and pulling me forward. Suddenly I feel as though my growth is going to hinge off of all of yours and I feel compelled to do this blog series on manifestation.
So, I hope you find something you enjoy and can use. I’ve spent the last 11 years of my life trying to avoid religious labels so you will find that all my techniques are pretty ALL-Denominational. That’s to say, no matter your Spiritual path, if you’re interested in conscious manifestation, with little or no change these techniques can fit any belief system.
Here’s a link if you’d like to subscribe and receive this blog series in your email:

Happy New Moon!!
~ September 18, 2009 at 2:44 pm EST ~
For the next 2 weeks we will be in the waxing lunar cycle. This is the building light and a time of strong creative energy. If you’d like to see the dates of the coming phases of the moon, you can do so here.
Take advantage of this time to:
- Create intentions
- Make goal lists
- Work on vision boards
- Create magical movies
- Create and work with new affirmations
- Cast Spells
Anything you’re wanting to grow or expand is what you need to be working with during this part of the cycle.
Focus first upon what you intend to manifest in the short term. What are your goals for the next 30-90 days?
From there expand to longer term goals if you wish. It’s easiest to get the creativity ball rolling from thinking of the immediate future though.
This of course is only a suggestion. You should always do it any way that works for you. That’s the goal, to make it work. Not to do it the same as someone else.
Let’s touch base quickly on what each of the above things entails.
To create an intention, you’re going to focus on one thing. For example, money. If you set an intention to create more money flow in your life, you would sit down and figure out exactly what you want and personalize it to you. Then write it out as an intention. “I intend to see a great expansion in money flowing into my life for the greatest good of all.” You can, of course, focus upon more than one intention in the overall. Maybe you’re already focused on certain goals and you’re just adding a new one.
To make a goal list you’re going to focus on a general list of things you want to manifest. This is generally done to get the “big picture” so you can then focus on individual things. When you make a goal list of the over-all goals you want to reach, you’ll want to revise it on a consistent basis. Not necessarily monthly, but at least every six months. As you grow, your goals will change. Keep your list current.
To make a vision board, all you need is a space to post, pictures of either what you want or something that represents it to you and something to affix the pictures with. I’ve used the side of my fridge. My boys use the side of a file cabinet. My friend uses a cork board. I’ve made vision boards on my laptop using “paint” and saved it as my desktop. Any way you can create a collection of pictures and words representing what you desire to give manifestation to will work. Personalize it as much as you can. The more of your creative energy you put into it, the more results you’ll get out of it.
Creating a magical movie is a little more in depth. Fun though! I use Windows Movie Maker, which comes free with every version of windows. You can add music and pictures from your computer and create a movie that plays out like a vision board before your eyes. It’s very useful. And Windows Movie Maker is REALLY easy to use. Don’t be intimidated if you’ve never used it before. It’s REALLY self explanatory. If I can do it, you can too!
Creating and working with affirmations is a wonderful way to help reprogram the little monsters in your mind so you can manifest the things you want. Affirmations should be short and very easy to remember. Giving them rhyme and/or rhythm is a great way to make them so. They should always be spoken in the present tense too. Never, “I will soon have”… but always, “I now have” or “____ is getting closer and closer” or ” Thank you for ___”.
You get the point?
Spell casting is super fun in my opinion. Spell casting is like setting an intention (because intent is everything), creating a vision board (because there are things to associate by vision), creating a short series of affirmations (called incantations) and preforming a ritual that is meaningful to the solitary with the intention of releasing the intended goal to the Cosmos and/or deity of choice (meditation) to bring manifestation.
There are oodles of practicing witches with websites you can reference. Just google “Wicca” or “Spells”. Some have a coven and some are solitary. What they all have in common is, they all do it just a little different than anyone else. Your magic is unique to you… as is your perception and your life. Embrace your unique magic and create with it :)
For me, I practice solitary. I go my own way and create in my own unique way. My very favorite book for reference is Practical Solitary Magic By Nancy B. Watson. It was recommended to me by a witch I met through synchronicity at least 7 or 8 years ago and was the first book I ever read about manifestation Wicca style. I was STUNNED by how Spiritual it was and how “Law of Attraction” based the psychology behind it was. This book comes VERY highly recommended by me.
Happy Manifesting!

It’s New Moon Time!
♥ Hey Everyone!!
I’m just popping in this morning before I run off to the grocery store. I discovered this very cool site and wanted to share it with all of you.
Tomorrow is the New Moon so today’s the day to give some thought to what you’re intending to see in the next cycle.
Remember, we create as the light grows, so the next two weeks are very strong creatively and energetically. If you do vision boards or intention rituals or spell casting… tomorrow will be your ideal day!
It can all seem overwhelming so I recommend starting by making a quick list of what you would like to see manifest in the next 28 days. Then maybe broaden your view to more long term goals if you wish.
Then all you need to do is figure out what your “manifestation technique” will be and GO FOR IT! Change is inevitable, so why not take a moment to focus on the changes as you’d prefer them to be?
Happy Manifesting!!
Now, about that very cool site! My Hubby, as many of you know, is a mechanic. When my van bites it, my man takes care of everything.
WHAT A LUXURY THAT IS!!
Don’t think for one moment that I don’t appreciate this fully!!
However, I know there are loads of you out there who have to take your car to a mechanic to be fixed. Here’s where this super awesome site comes in. If you go to RepairPal.com and enter your vehicle information, you can get a breakdown of parts, labor and extras. This site will give you a FREE estimate according to what industry standards are in YOUR area.
This means you will never be overcharged by a mechanic who doesn’t think you’ll know the difference!
Happy Thursday :)
