Normally having sickies in the house sends me into a whirlwind of disinfectants and hand washing.  This time it was slightly less of a whirlwind than usual.  I still hosed everything down with my homemade, muli-surface, disinfecting cleaner (equal parts white vinegar, water, and rubbing alcohol, with a drop of liquid dish soap), but I felt slightly better equipped to handle the illness than ever before.

This time, I have Reiki.

The main symptom of this virus was an incredible fever.  Eddie topped out at 105º while Michael stayed a little lower at 103.5º

When I would sit and hold their feet, and channel Reiki energy into them, my hands would get really, really warm.  Then after a few minutes, it was as though their heat drained out of their feet and into my hands.

Reiki works better on a fever than any over the counter medication I’ve ever used.

If I’m going to practice channeling this energy, I might as well channel it toward those who need it.
