I’ve always wanted to be psychic. As a matter of fact, this entire Spiritual path of mine came about because of that interest. I stumbled onto the concept of “intention-manifestation” while Googling “psychic development” back in 2002.
I was twenty three years old.
Now, nine years later, I see flashes of things behind my eyes. I hear words in my head that don’t come through in my own voice. I’m poised to turn left and suddenly “know” I should instead, turn right. I ask questions and receive, sometimes immediately, the answers.
They’ll tell you that in order to develop you innate psychic abilities, you should meditate, and practice. They’ll tell you to keep a dream journal and write in it immediately upon waking. Some will even tell you to purify your body and become a vegetarian!
I didn’t, and still don’t have the patience for those things. Upon finding, and learning about intention-manifestation, my very first intention officially set was to develop my psychic abilities.
Television and movie characters lead us to believe that psychics have these amazingly vivid visions, and spend their time talking to ghosts. I’m sure that in some cases, that’s true, but it’s not the norm.
I learned all I could about intention-manifestation which of course lead me to The Secret
. Then I explored witchcraft. Then I read The Da Vinci Code
! Wow! That book changed the way I looked at everything! I began exploring the Spirit.
Once my exploration of Spirit began, I read Wayne Dyer
, and Deepak Chopra often. The pair quickly became, and have remained my favorite authors on the subject of Spirit.
Doreen Virtue introduced me to my Angels and Guides through her Angel Therapy Handbook

Here is what I know to be true. Here is the greatest truth I have ever learned.
We are all constantly surrounded by beings of light in the form of Angels, Archangels, Spirit Guides, and the Earthly departed. Anything you ask of them, they swing into motion for you. Being “psychic” is simply a description of how open the lines of communication are between you and them.
There’s no one way to be psychic. There’s no one way to send or receive communication.
Sometimes I will hear a voice, plain as day, and it’s SO loud, I’m not sure if it was out loud or only in my head. This isn’t a normal occurrence for me, but it has happened a few times.
Sometimes I’ll ask them for help, and shortly thereafter the perfect solution will appear.
Sometimes I’ll see something that will trigger a thought in my mind that leads me somewhere and sets off a whole chain of events that takes care of something I’d been asking for help with earlier that day, or even earlier that week.
Just because you don’t consciously realize you’re having a psychic moment of communication doesn’t mean that, that’s not what it is. But the best way to encourage conscious psychic communication, in my personal experience, is to be the first to communicate! Say something! Ask a question. Ask for a sign.
Speak as though a legion of Beings are waiting for you to ask something of them, because they are. But because we are humans, gifted with our free will, intervention and communication can only come when you ask it to be.
I believe this is what is meant in the Bible in Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Go into the silence and seek out God and your legion of Heavenly Beings and ASK, and all these things will be added unto you. And this has absolutely been my experience.
It’s only been recently that I’ve been actively seeking out my Angels and Guides. And by recently, I mean like… the last two months maybe. I would always talk to God, but having Angels at my side was such a nice thought that I embraced it fully and have been actively seeking them since.
So, allow your inner guidance to merge with the heavenly guidance that’s always available and let the psychic experiences be in whatever form they come in. But the more you talk and ask and listen and communicate, the easier the guidance is to recognize.
