I’ll Keep You in My Prayers

How many times have I heard someone say that? Probably thousands.

I have to wonder though, just what are they doing when they are keeping me in their prayers. How do they hold me in their prayers. What image do I take in their mind as they pray for me?

It’s occurred to me recently that the image one holds in their mind as they pray is probably more important than the actual prayer itself.

After I read the book Mirror Therapy back in July, I began doing this meditation. It’s not something from the book, but it uses things I learned about in the book.

So if you ever hear me say that I will pray for you… this is what you’re signing up for.

The basic premise is, once I go into a relaxed state, I see my “soul mirror,” which I’ve constructed in my own imagination and is unique to only me. When I look in my soul mirror, I see my soul looking back at me. Basically my soul looks exactly like me, only perfect. Glowing. Beautiful. Untouched. Unharmed. Ageless. Angelic even.

I imagine my soul looking back at me with complete love and acceptance, smiling with warmth. I send love and light into my soul mirror and my soul radiates love and light back at me.

Now, I choose another person. Someone whom I am wanting to “pray” for. I see their soul looking back at me from their own unique soul mirror. Just like mine, their soul looks like the perfect, ageless, beautiful, angelic Being that they truly are. They are smiling out at me with the same warmth and love as in my mirror. I behold the image of their beauty and perfection and once again send love and light into their mirror, bathing them in love. I feel the same energy radiating from their souls back to me.

I have come to believe that when Jesus walked through towns and healed people, it was a variation of THIS prayer that he used.

I’ve heard some current day gurus philosophize that the reason Jesus could heal people in that way was because he didn’t see the malady. He saw only the pure, perfect child of God that is the reality, and therefore by the laws of consciousness, the lesser vibration of the diseased had to rise and meet that of the healer. He literally injected them with love, light, and complete faith in their well-being.

My grandmother was rather ill a while back and I said I’d pray for her. How could I do her any good at all by holding the image of an ailing person in my mind and begging for her health. The first thing that comes to mind is that, you should always hold the image of what you want to see in your mind. So right there has me seeing her healthy. The second thing is, I would never request her healing or regained health. Those are back-words for disease. I asked that she maintain her healthy balance and be vibrant and happy.

Only I didn’t ask. I didn’t see her perfection in her mirror and say, “Dear God, please bring my grandma her healthy balance and make her vibrant and healthy.”

If I said that, I would be praying to a God that is outside of me. The divinity is within.

Within the act of SEEING her as who she TRULY is…. her SOUL… and seeing her in that perfect state of Being, the request exists. Only it’s not even a request, because to request something implies the possibility of the lack of fulfillment, but in praying this way, I find that there IS no possibility of lack of fulfillment. That IS her soul. It IS perfect and whole and the total sum of all she has the potential to be. It already IS fulfilled.

I believe that seeing the souls of the people I pray for and knowing that what I see, literally already IS sure amps up the “faith” part of the equation.

When I pray for you, I do not see what you could potentially be or have. I see a representation of the divine force within you, and encourage you to recognize it for yourself by projecting love to it and helping it grow.

Outside the Comfort Zone

Greetings all, on this beautiful Full Moon :)

I’m experiencing a lot of change right now, and I think I’ve actually got it all under control. A little bit of planning ahead, organization, and routine. I’m determined to feed my family better, more often.

I made up a menu for the week that includes cooking for lunch and leftovers for dinner, plus the occasional leftover morph into something new. It occurred to me last night that if I made such a detailed menu up for a few weeks in a row, I would have an out-right blue print of smooth menu weeks, and that would make it VERY easy to go back and repeat entire weeks. I would have already done all the thinking involved.

I also made a menu for the boys’ lunches. They now have groups of side dishes associated with days of the week. I can run that on auto pilot. I only have to change up the main attraction!

I’m going on a new Joy Quest this cycle too!!

I’m going to be experiencing something new very soon that I’m SUPER excited about, and yet completely terrified. LOL

Michael has been begging for a guitar and lessons for a couple years now. Our deal was, “Once you master the recorder in fourth grade and have a basic understanding of reading music, then we’ll talk guitar. Probably the beginning of fifth grade.”

Well, I can’t even believe it, but he starts fifth grade TOMORROW!

And he did master the recorder and reading music just as I’d asked him to. So, Probably next week he’s going to start guitar lessons.

But as I was about to call to inquire, I had a sudden realization. I should TOTALLY go take lessons too! I’ve always wanted to learn an instrument beyond my short stint with the flute in fifth grade. Piano and guitar. Those are my top 2 favorite instruments.

And the more I sat and pondered the idea of actually taking guitar lessons, the more excited I became. I mean, I was vibrating from the inside so tremendously, it felt like it should have been visible from outside of me.

After I called and found out that Michael and I can take the lessons TOGETHER and get a discount because we’re going for the same instrument and we’re in the same place knowledge wise, I realized how completely terrified I am. LOL

This is WAY out of my comfort zone!!!

I have to do it though. I’m more excited than afraid.

It’s the sort of fear that you feel as the cart tops the first BIG hill on the roller coaster track. You’re about 99% sure you’ll be okay, and you’re terrified and yet exhilarated at the same time. You want to laugh out loud, but still, a scream threatens. Never are you more present in the Now than when your Now is on top of a monster roller coaster hill about to take the plunge…

It’s living!

This is something I’ve always wanted to do. Until now though, unnoticed. A dream unheeded. It’s incredible to me the depth of pleasure I get from simply contemplating this step forward.

With a step this far into pleasure, and this far beyond my comfort zone, I’m excited to see the beautiful ripple effect that will ensue….

Manifesting Amazing Health

It’s truly amazing to me, the depth of health and wellness that I am feeling within my own body!

Before, I couldn’t eat anything until at LEAST eleven o’clock every morning. I would always say, “I just can’t eat in the morning. I’m not a breakfast person.”

Turns out, I AM a breakfast person. I wake up hungry now! Not raw or achy or acidy… but hungry!

I used to have a headache every day. I know it sounds like I must be exaggerating some, but on my honor, I am not. Every single day for the past several YEARS, I have had a headache every single day. Some days I was able to shift my focus and virtually forget the pain, leaving it only a dull annoyance in the background of my day. Some days I was incapacitated, on the couch, praying for relief.

As of today, I haven’t had a headache in FOUR DAYS!!! That’s incredible to me. I’ve been involved in multiple car accidents in the past and my back is a little crooked as a result. I’ve always attributed my headaches to my back and neck… but I was wrong.

At this point, I don’t know for sure if it was the sorbitol or the aspertame in my gum, but it’s VERY clear to me that one of them was causing me to have a daily headache.

I’ve been completely off my gum for two weeks and two days as of this morning, and I have to say, I feel better than I have in probably 6 years.

Even at the peak of my diet and exercise changes, when I was at my “healthiest,” there was always this undertone of “I don’t feel good” that was in me. I felt thin and healthy and happy… with a headache and cloudy thoughts and burning with urination and bowel issues and sore, achy muscles, and stomach pain etc…

I thought that was just how it is. Just how the body works.

It’s NOT!

I feel healthy and vibrant and happy and AMAZING, quite frankly.

I woke up Friday last week feeling amazing. Better than I can ever remember feeling. Then Saturday morning, I was absolutely STUNNED to find that I felt even better than the day before. THEN… the same thing happened again on Sunday… and AGAIN on Monday!!

Each day I was impressed with the raised level of healthfulness I felt, thinking I must’ve finally reached the end of the poison and the beginning of my healing , but each day I was blissfully amazed at how wrong I was and how I now feel even GREATER than the day before.

I had never imagined that I could feel this good in my own body. Never.

Back on July’s New Moon, I’d started to thank God for my health every day. I was focusing on my health and body for the cycle, and it sure seemed logical to think and thank about it.

“Thank you, God, for the great health I possess and the knowledge I’ve been given so I may consciously perpetuate mt wellness…”

It wasn’t an affirmation really… but a prayer. I mean, I said it pretty much in those exact words, every single day at least once… Well hell… I suppose it WAS an affirmation. LOL

I gotta say though… As I say those words today, no sentence has EVER been truer for me, right now, than THAT sentence. It literally became more and more true and real as I said it.

And yes, I was beginning to feel a little skeptical as I seemed to be getting sicker and sicker as I prayed gratitude for my health, but I hung in and kept in my mind, the ideas that…

It’s darkest before the dawn…

Sometimes we have to do some tearing down before we can build…

I must be heading somewhere amazing if I’m to measure it by proportion to how awful I feel now…

Everything happens for a reason…

Everything, good or bad, is pushing me in the direction of something I’ve expressed a desire to have, be, or do and I must be patient so the Spirit can reveal itself to me…

But mostly, I held on to… This too shall pass.

It’s awesome.

And I don’t mean… wow, that’s awesome. I mean… I sit here at these keys feeling loved beyond reason and humbled and completely awed…. in indescribable A W E at the miracle I have been witness to and the power of my words and my connection to the all powerful creator of WORLDS that I am in, that is in me…. And even as I say those words, I feel mostly how inept they are in describing the most powerful feeling I’ve ever experienced.

As I typed the above paragraph, I paused in thought and looked to Mother Nature outside of my window to find my words as I often do, and there, bobbing by and headed into the woods about 15 feet away were about 25 wild turkey. I sat in this very chair yesterday telling my uncle who’s in from CA that I haven’t seen a turkey here in about 3 years. “I miss the turkeys..” I’d said.

So as I sit trying to find words to describe the indescribable awe I am feeling with regards to the astounding power of my words, I have the power of my words march right past my window.

It’s just awesome. A w e s o m e.
