The Crystal BibleEncyclopedia of Crystals

Today’s Books:

The Crystal Bible & The Encyclopedia of Crystals ~ BOTH ~ By Judy Hall

It’s a little unusual for me to combine two books into one review, but I felt like it was the way to go for this one.  I picked up BOTH of these books because I couldn’t decide between them, and as it turns out, that was a perfect plan!

First, The Crystal Bible~

This is a fantastic book to have on hand, to reference stones and crystals you can identify.  You look up the crystal by name and are given a wonderful amount of information on it including:

  • Color
  • Appearance
  • Rarity
  • Source
  • Attributes
  • Healing
  • Position
  • And for some stones, even MORE!

It has a fairly short glossary that I wasn’t really impressed with, but the index makes up for it.  Anything you could want a crystal for is in the index, and if you simply look up your ailment, you’re immediately directed to what crystals are relevant to your healing. I found this book, overall, very useful and I’ve referenced it multiple times in the short time I’ve owned it.  I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in working with stones and crystals.

Next, The Encyclopedia of Crystals~ This book is a beautiful companion to the above for a few reasons.  Firstly, it’s got more information on the crystals. It lists:

  • The type of crystal it is
  • It’s chemistry
  • Hardness
  • Source
  • Associated Chakra
  • Number
  • Zodiac Sign
  • Planet
  • and what it’s beneficial for

I found the glossary pretty much equally as disappointing, but again it was made up for with a wonderful index. The thing that makes this book so fantastic though is the fact that it’s arranged by COLOR!  Just by looking down the outside edges of the book with it closed, one can see the rainbow of color to choose from. Many people from novice to master have times when they’re looking at a stone they can’t identify.  And if you have to know what your stone is in order to look it up, that puts you in a crappy position.  This fantastic book remedies that situation.  So long as you can identify the COLOR of the stone you have, you can find it’s name and all other relevant information regarding it.

I hope you’ll pick up these books to add to your reference library.  I know I’m SUPER glad that I did!

The Manifestation Process

October 24th, 2010

I want to thank everybody who participated in the full moon group meditation even though I didn’t send out another reminder, and I want to apologize for falling off the grid and leaving you all hanging.

I’ve been laid up in bed for the past three days with the most awful headache and I just couldn’t bring myself to be sitting up and on my laptop.  I was however available and did participate at the predetermined time because I KNEW that there were going to be some of you there.

It ended up being a blessing because I found that my head didn’t hurt so much while I was meditating and I spent much of the following day in meditation because it was the best pain relief I could find.

I’ve already received some emails about the newly showing success and I want to take this opportunity to remind you all of what to expect.  It’s a four part process that when remembered and worked from will create amazing things in your life.

The “Full Moon Group Meditation” is officially a monthly meeting.  I hope you’ll all join us for the next group meditation on Sunday November 21, 2010!

Step 1~ The Intention

This is best done by sitting down with pen and paper and really deciding what you want to see.  It’s best to only focus upon one area of your life at a time, but you can actually combine several mini intentions into one overall goal.  For instance, by deciding to focus upon increasing ease and joy in your relationships in general, you can focus upon virtually ALL people with whom you relate.  That’s many mini intentions all wrapped up into one single focus.

Step 2~ The Alpha Reflection

When you send out your desires into the Universe, you will generally see an almost immediate show of recognition.  For instance, if you were intending an increase in money, you might find $5 the very next day.

This is what I like to refer to as, the alpha reflection.  It’s simply the Universe reflecting back to you that which sums up your intention to let you know that your manifestation muscle has been flexed and is now creating expansion for you.

Step 3~ The Omega Reflection

This is what happens due to you previously recognizing what you do not want in your life by observing it.  It’s the sum total of what you have previously believed to be true before you decided to intend to change things.

**It’s important to note that we never actually change THINGS.  It is us who changes and then the reflection of life shifts to reveal that change that happened within. **

So, after you set your intention and the Universe reflects the Alpha, it reflects the other end of the scale, which I like to call the Omega.

The Omega is God giving you a chance to change your mind and keep your previously held beliefs in play.  It’s the equivalent of a patient parent saying, “Now honey, are you SURE you don’t like this outfit anymore?  It has fit you well up until now and if I throw it out, then it’s gone.  Are you sure you want me to pitch it and get you that other one you think you want??”

And here’s the trick.  When God asks you if you’re sure it’s the new way that you want by showing you ONE MORE TIME what the old way looked like, it’s your job to say yes by not reacting to the old way in the old way.  You now must say yes by reacting in the NEW way, because if the new way is how it is, then the old reaction doesn’t exist.

If you react in the same old way, you are canceling out your intention because you’re telling God that the old way is fine and you’re proving it by acting it out again.

Step 4~ The Manifestation

This one is pretty self explanatory.  It is the step in which the new beliefs begin to manifest for you for real.  It is when the changing of your world becomes obvious and you see it differently and in turn you feel differently about it.

Now the best thing you can do is take a moment every single time you recognize a new piece of your manifestation taking shape and say a prayer of gratitude for it.

Oxoxx~

Senses

Today’s Book:

Come to Your Senses; Demystifying the Mind-Body Connection
By Stanley H. Block, M.D. with Carolyn Bryant Block

I was surprised by this book.  I’ve actually read it before and picked it back up because of my recent meditation intentions for September’s New Moon.  I thought of it because as the title suggests, it is largely about getting back in touch with our senses as a means of calming and quieting the mind.  A sort of meditation.

The surprise began as soon as I started to read.  I forgot how wonderful this book was.  You start reading many books in the same genre and they begin to blur.  Much of the information is repeating and you may take a little something special from each book, but when you look back through years of little something specials, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what came from where.

THIS book, as it turns out, was one of my first along this whole Spiritual journey of mine and made some of the deepest impact on me.  It started me on my path to understanding the roles we play in life and how to separate who we really are from the roles we play.

It also really helped me understand how it is that no one else is responsible for making me angry anymore than they are responsible for making me happy.  It’s all in me and my choice.

I came to understand my identity systems and how they affect my thoughts about myself and how they perpetuate my misery when I allow myself to identify with them.

It really is a wonderful book and I’m so glad I picked it back up again.  I guess I had a very good reason for having never given it away like I do with most of my books.
