Basking in Beautiful Thoughts
June 9th, 2010
Day 3 of our awesome summer vacation here at Casa Del Baugher.
Wednesday is scheduled to be our water day (beach, creek, river, etc) but it appears that the bulk of the water we’re going to experience today will be falling from the sky. With a forecast high of only 73, it would likely be a bit chilly anyway. Right now we’re hovering at about 55 degrees and I’m actually thinking about turning the heater on! I got out my big, fuzzy socks and put on a sweatshirt. Tomorrow is expected to be near 80 and sunny so I think we’re going to push water day back one.

This morning I was thinking about being in love with the moment.
I rolled over and curled up behind Mike and pressed my face into his back and inhaled deeply before planting a few kisses along his shoulder blade. I adore his scent. He’s never worn deodorant or cologne as long as I’ve known him and that suits me just fine. I laid there, spooned in behind him, lost in the wonderful smell of him and my mind started wandering through other things I just LOVE lately.
Such as:
It’s 7:30am and I’m naturally awakened by the light through my east window instead of a harsh, screaming alarm clock.
I completely LOVE my new bedroom, even without carpet and trim!
I get to do something FUN with the kids today!
I have the greatest dogs EVER! (I could hear Abby snoring happily and kicking her feet, chasing something in a dreamland on her bed on the floor behind me.)
MMMmmm When I get up, I’m going to have a DELICIOUS cup of coffee. I LOVE french press coffee!! Emphatically!!
Mike’s got the ground all leveled out and is ready to spread sand and start building the sides. Only a few more days and the pool will be functional!!
I have the BEST freaking life EVER! I am so so so blessed.
It’s so easy to take a spontaneous thought about something you love, like, or simply enjoy and let your mind RUN with it. Let your mind whip your consciousness into a whirlwind of bliss for a few minutes.
It’s a fantastic way to begin the day. I felt awesome before my feet ever even touched the floor.
_sings_ My whole HOUSE is great. I can do ANYTHING good! yeah yeah yeah I can do anything good, better, than anyone!
