Here we are, a generous step into the new year. Most people will have this entire weekend off I imagine, but we’re past
that first day, that jumping off point…. We are on the road! Everywhere in the world, people bravely take steps toward those things they’ve resolved to finally conquer in 2010. I hope you’ve created a resolution for yourself. We all need something to work toward.
Take the daunting idea of failure out of your new years resolution this year. Don’t resolve to make a huge life altering change for this YEAR. Make a small change, and make it for the month. It’s been proven time and again that as humans, it takes us between 21 and 30 days to form a new habit or change an old one. Baby steps. You can do it! After all, it’s only 31 days through January.
I’m taking my own advice. I received my new almanacs and calendars right after Christmas and I ADORE them! My resolution for this new year is to learn more about my chosen path and expand my knowledge in all associated areas. To begin moving toward this goal, my new habit in January is to read and practice the things in my calendars and almanacs, every day. They’re so filled with wonderful things that pertain to me! I’ve already learned SO much and this is only day 2! How exciting!
Today I’ve been studying Isis, the Egyptian Goddess of motherhood, magic and fertility. January second is considered the Advent of Isis, according to my trusty almanac :) I feel quite a kinship with this Goddess and I look forward to getting to know her better. Here’s the link to my new page about her.
I spent yesterday taking down “Christmas” and today I’m doing a lot of sitting around and enjoying being back to normal. I hope your holiday season was wonderful and that you’re creating the life of your dreams in 2010!!
